In a co publishing agreement you do not assign the whole copyright. You keep part of it through your own publishing entity and therefore keep part of the publisher share as well as your writer share.

An administration agreement transfers no copyright at all. The administrator registers, licenses, collects and distributes for a fee, usually a percentage. Any songwriter can enter one with a willing company.

A sub publishing agreement puts a local publisher in a foreign territory to license and collect there, doing the same work abroad that a publisher does at home.

Self administration means you do the administrator job yourself. It is entirely possible and it is what most of this workshop teaches, but it is work, and treating it as free is how catalogs end up unregistered.
